Audi e-Tron Concept – this cannot be real, can it?

Image
Totally unreal
Before anything, take a close look at the Audi e-Tron. Seriously, this could not be a car right? Yes it is, in fact, it is currently in concept but Audi has reportedly interested to put it into production soon. And the very cool thing about this car is that it integrates 2 of the most sought after elements in driving these days. Performance and eco-friendly. Hence, Audi decided to mate both of these together to give you a lithium-ion powered engine on this 2 seater beast. For comparison purposes, you can pretty much say that the e-Tron pretty much goes head to head with the Audi R8 4.8 liter V8 and with its 313 horsepowers under the hood and some 3319 lb-ft of torque, it gets you from zero to hundred in 4.8 seconds but it only top speeds at 124mph because apparently, maintaining high speeds will drain the batter out of its power and life. It is a four-wheel drive where 70 percent of the power is sent to the rear wheels. Fitted with 19 inch wheels, it also comes with electrically actuated ceramic disc brakes. Charging of the car will require about 6 to 8 hours for a full powered motor.

The car comes with very nice designs all around. It comes with some state-of-the art systems here including a closeable air intakes on the grille as well as on the sides, a touch screen scroll pad on the MMI interface, as well as a heat pump for its interior climate control. One look at this car and you will surely start comparing, if not with its R8 cousin, with others like the Porsche Boxster, which is bigger and a bit wider. seriously, at 313 horses, there is no reason for you not to like this car. After all, it also comes with a central electronic control unit (ECU) which will distribute the powers to each of the wheels for the best traction called torque vectoring as well as integrating the antilock brakes and its anti-skid system as well.

Audi has mentioned that they want to make this into a production car although it is part of their 3 year project. so meanwhile, it still looks good in concept while Audi figure out how to throw away the weight which is holding the car down. But then again, as a concept car, who knows what they can do when they start producing these models.
